drought

can't remember 

the last time
I took a bath
sloshing around 
in my own filth
 
but I often
pee in the shower 
prior to 
stepping in
before the 
water warms

I enjoy most things 

long and hot
but less so
these days 
what with this 
drought and this
prostrate thing.
