supermoon

super moon

the red moon felled you
dropped you writhing to the floor
coughing, puking, helpless
a saber run wrist to heart
It threw you down and wrung you,
forced you struggling just for life
shook you fiercely and threw you
left you cold, quivering, fighting
for breath lost on the floor,
you found it fumbling, grasping
grabbing the nitro barely near.

but you won the night
you won that fight
you made that
desperate call
and help arrived
just in time to quell
that red moon's fight. (deed, act.move

twenty-eight times over
that moon passed overhead
with no omens dark to fear of,
until that last revolution turned
and drew that red moon nearer
bigger, badder, fuller, meaner,
to take your sister's hand
and lead her softly ever out
to the starry night, as those
around watched Jeopardy,
it slipped her from their room.
